Klemm Homes

Project II

Blakiston

Modern farmhouse living, deeply entwined with its landscape. Relocating to the Adelaide Hills is a chance to slow down and create something deeply personal. This home was no exception. From the winding drive, steep gables and matte cladding rise from a wide paddock bordered by cows and creek. The form nods to rural tradition, while crisp detailing brings a bold, modern edge. Inside, cathedral ceilings and full-height windows draw the landscape in. Natural materials like timber timber, concrete, brick add warmth and texture. A sunken living space with a double-sided fireplace anchors the home, while the kitchen balances drama and function. Outside, a custom cladding system wraps roof and walls as one. Every detail, from custom joinery to aligned flashings, was carefully considered. A place to pause, breathe, and feel at home.
